Dr Ross Hendry

Dr Ross Hendry joined QGPSC in 1991 and is a part owner of the practice.

Ross is an experienced General Practitioner with more than 30 years experience in general medicine, paediatrics and anaesthetics.  This experience has been gained overseas and interstate, as well as locally.

Ross has served on many committees and working groups attached to hospitals and medical boards to progress improvements in health care and quality care to patients.  He continues to be an active participant in clinic improvements, and is an active mentor and teacher for medical students and registrars.

 

Dr Mohan Mirpuri

Mohan trained in the UK and achieved his fellowship in Oxford, England. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice including Chronic Disease management, (such as Diabetes, Heart disease, Lung disease), and Occupational health Medicine.

He actively looks after many residents at the residential care homes in Queanbeyan and has an interest in Geriatrics.

He also is an active Senior mentor and Supervisor for medical students and GP Registrars within the practice.

Dr Sujith Kamath

 

MBBS, MRCS (Glasgow), PG Diploma Medical Education (Cardiff), MRCGP (UK), FRACGP.

Having trained in India and UK, Sujith has been working at QGPSC since 2010. He has been a practice principal since 2011. In addition to his work at QGPSC since 2012 he has been working as a Visiting Medical Officer at Queanbeyan Hospital both for admissions and as a surgical assistant, thus ensuring closer relationships with secondary care yet helping maintain a core GP principle of continuity of care. Sujith has also been participating in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program since 2016.

As a GP, Sujith provides care across all ages and most aspects but has an interest in Chronic Conditions like Diabetes, Cardiovascular & Respiratory Medicine. He also has an interest in Minor Surgery (including skin cancer surgery), Musculoskeletal, Emergency Medicine and Mens Health. Since 2016 he has been working with the Canberra Sleep Clinic and in his role as the "in-house" sleep specialist co-ordinates the QGPSC sleep service. He sees patients for pre-employment checks and for work-cover claims.

Dr Fred Vethanayagam

Dr Fred is a very experienced GP with 30 years in rural medicine prior to joining QGPSC in 2008.

His main interests are Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, performing various flaps and skin grafts as part of the procedure.

He has retired from the Queanbeyan District Hospital where he provided both obstetric and anaesthetic services, but continues to offers ante-natal care at the Clinic.

Dr Fred provides general practice services. Dr Fred does not take on worker’s compensation nor medico-legal cases.

Dr Najat Kushada

MBBS AMC FRACGP Dip Child Health

Having previously worked at Crawford Street Medical Clinic as a GP registrar in 2009, Dr Kushada returned to QGPSC as a GP in early 2012. Dr Kushada has extensive experience both in hospital and private practice. This includes spending over six years at the Canberra Hospital and Calvary Hospital and three years in a private practice in Yass NSW.  Dr Kushada deals with all aspects of health/medical care with special interest in children, women and adolescent health, mental health issues, emergency and minor procedures.

Dr Kushada works from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm.

Dr Anthony Stevenson

MBBS FACRRM FRACGP FARGP (Anaes) DRANZCOG MPH&TM

After working in Indigenous health in tropical Queensland and Brisbane, Anthony commenced at the Clinic in 2005. Anthony strives for a patient centred and culturally sensitive relationship with each patient. Anthony combines his part time work at the clinic with his role as a Visiting Medical Officer at the Queanbeyan Hospital, where he works in Emergency Medicine, as a GP Anaesthetist, and provides general medical inpatient care. Anthony has an ongoing interest in tropical and travel medicine, enjoys teaching and also instructs on emergency medicine courses. He is a supervisor of training for GP Registrars at Queanbeyan Hospital. Anthony loves spending time with his family, or relaxing in the wild outdoors.

Dr Matthew Thompson

Dr Thompson is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He graduated from the ANU Medical School and completed his internship and residency in the Canberra region, with a focus on acute care. Prior to entering general practice he wa working as an Intensive Care Registrar at a private hospital in Canberra.

Dr Thompson has an interest in all aspects of general practice including minor procedures

Dr Vishal Arya

MBBS, MHID, AMC, FRACGP, FPAA cert

Dr Vishal Arya is an experienced General Practitioner, medical educator and skin cancer surgeon who provides comprehensive holistic care to the whole family at all stages of life, including skin cancer, women's health, chronic health diseases, reproductive & sexual health, shared pregnancy care, children's health, musculoskeletal injuries and mental health.

He offers services for procedures such as Implanon & Mirena insertion/removal, ingrown toenail resection, joint injections, lump removals, skin cancer surgery etc

 

Dr Sandeep Sunkaraneni

Dr Sandeep Sunkaraneni is a GP who is UK qualified and trained in Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, London.

His areas of medical interest are in ENT Medicine (including Ear Microscopic Therapy) and General Medicine including chronic disease management in the fields of respiratory medicine, diabetes and cardiology. He has worked in various hospital specialties and general practice in the UK and has been a GP in Canberra, Australia since 2012.

Personal interests include sports: badminton, tennis, soccer. He is also a keen auto enthusiast, and enjoys spending time with his wife and young children. He also likes to play piano and guitar when time allows!

Dr Meredith Blackmur

Dr Meredith began her career as a physiotherapist, working in Queensland hospitals for over 6 years. She completed her medical degree at Griffith University and moved to Canberra to pursue her passion for medicine. She is now working towards her fellowship in General Practice. She has a special interest in women’s health, travel medicine, sports medicine and dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and playing the piano.

Dr Nik Manassiev

FRCOG, FFRSH, MRCGP, Dip Diab, Dip Sexual Health, Dip Derm, MD, FRACGP

Nik obtained his medical degree from the University of Varna, Varna, Bulgaria. He had extensive hospital and GP training in the UK, including gynaecology and women’s health and medical research. He obtained a Diploma of Practical Dermatology from University of Cardiff, Wales; Diploma in Sexual Health and Diploma in Diabetes from University of Warwick, England; and a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the Imperial College, London, England.

After working for 12 years as GP partner in Birmingham, in 2014 Nik moved to Canberra, where he worked with Ochre Health and the National Health Coop. Nik enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a strong interest in family planning and women’s health, the menopause, diabetes, dermatology, procedures.

Dr Nabila (Billie) Rajabali

Dr Rajabali completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2008 and has since worked in a wide range of clinical roles including Emergency Medicine, Aviation and Travel medicine and primary care in both the urban and remote setting. She is now working towards her fellowship in General Practice.  Billie has broad areas of interest, including women’s health, preventative medicine and travel medicine. 

Dr Kate Eisenberg

Kate is a doctor and neuroscientist with a passion for women’s health and wellbeing including pregnancy care, women's health and cosmetic medicine. She has settled in Canberra with her husband and two daughters.

In addition to her clinical work, Kate is a strong advocate for women in the sciences, receiving awards including ACT Young Woman of the Year 2014 and recognition as a finalist for Young Australian of the Year (ACT) 2016.

Dr Amy Daly

Dr Amy began her career as a podiatrist in Sydney where she worked for a decade in private Practice. She completed her medical degree as well as her medical research degree at university of western Sydney, graduating both with distinction. She is currently undertaking a diploma of advanced skills in obstetrics and is working towards her gp fellowship.

She has a keen interest in women's health, children's health and mental health.
