From 20 July 2020 it will be a legislative requirement under the Health Insurance (Section 3C General Medical Services – COVID-19 Telehealth and Telephone Attendances) Determination 2020 that GPs and other medical practitioners working in general practice must only perform a telehealth or telephone service where they have an existing relationship with the patient’. Please do not book a telehealth appointment if you are a new patient.

In order to claim a Medicare rebate for a tele-health consultation you must have seen a GP within the last 12 months at the clinic.
